Spray Painting and Powder Coating Code of Practice - Tasmania

Description

You may be required to comply with this code if you intend to conduct a business or undertaking that involves spray painting or powder coating processes. This code provides information on the management of health and safety risks associated with spray painting or powder coating processes.

Spray painting describes the process by which liquid paint is applied under pressure to an object either by hand or automatically. Powder coating describes the process by which electrostatically charged powder is applied onto an earthed object. Spray painting and powder coating may be carried out across a number of industries, including those involved with motor vehicles, buildings, furniture, white goods, boats, ships, aircraft and machinery.
