Accreditation as a High Risk Work Licence Assessor - Tasmania

Description

You will require this accreditation if you intend to assess the competency of applicants for high risk work licences. Classes of high risk work this licence may entitle you to assess include scaffolding work, dogging and rigging work, crane and hoist operation, reach stacking, forklift operation, and pressure equipment operation. Your accreditation will specify the classes of high risk work licences that you are authorised to assess.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this accreditation you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • hold a current high risk licence for each class you want to assess in
  • have at least two years of industry and operational experience for each class you want to assess in
  • have successfully completed a recognised skills assessors course
  • be employed by or work in partnership with a Registered Training Organisation.
