Permit to Erect Signage in a Public Place - Tasmania

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to:

  • Erect a cairn or memorial;
  • Make or mark out any track or route;
  • Paint (including graffiti);
  • Place, erect, construct or display a advertisement, sign, banner or billboard; or
  • Place any other sign in a reserve, park, car park, road or public place.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

An application for Permit is to be in writing and accompanied by:-

  • A statement specifying the type of activity proposed;
  • A statement detailing the required period of the Permit;
  • A scaled drawing showing location and extent of the activity;
  • Any other information the General Manager may reasonably require; and
  • Payment of any applicable fee.

Duration

Maximum 12 months.

Expiry

Permits expire in October.
