Australian Standard AS 2261-1990 Rescue Buoys - Victoria


You may be required to carry lifebuoys on a recreational or hire and drive vessel that comply with this standard. The number that is required will depend on the size of your vessel. This standard specifies requirements for the design, construction, buoyancy, colour retroreflectivity, and marking of rescue buoys intended to be thrown or dropped to a person in water to assist flotation.
