You will require this certificate if you are about to complete building works. It is a statement about the effect of the planning scheme on the use or development on the land, and will provide proof of the compliance of your building works (in either the design or point of inspection) with current legislation.
This certificate states that either:
- an existing use or development of land complies with the requirements of the planning scheme at the date of the certificate
- a proposed use or development (or part of a proposed use or development) of land would comply with the requirements of the planning scheme at the date of the certificate.
