Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Auditor Registration - Victoria

Description

You will need to be registered to provide on-site auditing of heavy vehicle operators to verify and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements under the Heavy Vehicle Accreditation (HVA) Scheme.

Heavy vehicle operators may seek accreditation for:

  • general safety accreditation
  • mass management systems
  • maintenance management systems
  • fatigue management systems (basic or advanced).

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration you will need to:

  • hold a qualification in heavy vehicle auditing
  • have transport industry experience
  • hold current Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurances
  • be a fit and proper person
  • hold a lead auditor qualification if you intend to lead one or more auditors or have in place a formal agreement to second a person with the technical competencies.

If you intend to carry out an audit of a maintenance management system or mass management system, you must either:

  • have the relevant and recognised technical competencies
  • provide proof of a formal arrangement that enables you to second a person or persons with the competencies necessary to complete the audit.
