A planning permit grants approval for a particular use or development, including changing the use, appearance, or size of land or structures (subdivision, signage, buildings and structures, and building work) to proceed on a specific parcel of land.
Your application will be assessed against the provisions of your local planning scheme. If the use or development you are proposing is not permitted under the planning scheme, you may request an amendment to the relevant provisions of the planning scheme. This includes an amendment to remove or vary a registered restrictive covenant which restricts the use or development of land.
A request for amendment of a planning scheme may be made together with an application for a planning permit.
