Boating Activity Exemptions - Victoria

Description

You will require this exemption if you intend to conduct activities in State waters that will cause an offence or will be contrary to laws or rules. This exemption will only be granted for certain waters.

This exemption can be used so that on-water events and works can be conducted.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for an exemption, you must:

  • apply in writing
  • describe the boating activity
  • specify the time period of the activity
  • set out reasons for the exemption
  • point out risks and how they will be managed
  • have at least $20 million public liability insurance coverage for the proposed event.
