Permit to Place or Remove Street Furniture or Goods on a Road, Reserve, Verandah, Wall or Awning - Victoria

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to attach, place or remove street furniture, goods or any permanent or semi-permanent structure or sign on a road, council land, verandah, wall, awning, or between buildings.

Street furniture means any:

  • chair
  • table
  • bench
  • umbrella
  • planter box
  • barricade or like furniture
  • sandwich board
  • bunting
  • banner
  • barrier
  • flag
  • or similar object.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility Requirements

To be granted a permit, a trader must sign an agreement to comply with the Footpath Trading Code. To apply please print and complete the application form and return to Council along with a Certificate of Currency showing a minimum of $10 million public liability and the fee.
