You may require this approval if you intend to conduct an event on local government property.
If you intend to conduct a small event (attracting crowds of less than 100) you will be required to complete a Public Events Assessment Form.
For all other events you will require this approval.
An approval is required to ensure that minimum health and safety standards are observed. An event includes, but is not limited to, a fair, festival or carnival.
Local government property includes any land belonging to the local
council. This includes parks, reserves and gardens.
An approval is also required for charging entry on local government property.
