AS / NZS 1715 Selection, Use and Maintenance of Respiratory Protective Equipment - Western Australia


You will need to comply with this standard if you are an employer or manager at a mine and are supplying respiratory protective equipment (RPE) to your employees.
You must comply with this standard if it is not practical to control the level of atmospheric contaminants at your mine through a suppression, ventilation or exhaust extraction system and as a result are supplying RPE to your employees. The RPE must meet the requirements set out in this standard.

This standard sets out requirements and guidelines for respiratory protection. Includes discussion of respiratory hazards, the assessment of associated risks and various methods of control including the use of respiratory protective equipment (RPE).
