Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code - Western Australia


You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to conduct a food business or prepare or import food intended for sale. This code provides:

  • general standards for the production of food
  • specific minimum standards for the production of various types of food
  • standards for genetically modified foods
  • labelling and information requirements.

This code is endorsed in each state and territory in Australia. Compliance with the code is necessary to ensure that all food products are safe and labelled correctly.
