Australian Design Rule ADR 38 - Commercial Vehicle Brake Systems - Western Australia

Description

You may be required to comply with this standard if you intend to manufacture, supply or operate a trailer used in a B-double, or a road train. The performance of the service, secondary and parking brake systems of your trailers must comply with this standard. A semi-trailer is also required to have an anti-lock breaking system which complies with this standard.

This standard specifies requirements for braking under both normal and emergency conditions. Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
