Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if you intend to undertake electrostatic spray painting at your workplace.

You must ensure that all electrical equipment used complies with this standard.

This standard specifies requirements for the design, construction, testing and operation of handheld and hand-operated electrostatic paint or powder sprayguns and associated apparatus. It also applies to handheld and hand-operated electrostatic guns used for spraying flock onto surfaces coated with flammable adhesives, and to automatic guns which are part of fixed apparatus.
