Description

You will need to comply with this standard if you are an employer, main contractor or self-employed person and intend to undertake work in a confined space at a workplace.

This standard provides requirements and guidance in eliminating or minimising the need to enter confined spaces and in avoiding hazards which may be encountered where entry to a confined space is unavoidable. Confined space means an enclosed or partially enclosed space which is not intended or designed primarily as a workplace, is at atmospheric pressure during occupancy and has restricted means for entry and exit.
