AS / NZS 4058:2007 Precast Concrete Pipes (Pressure and Non-Pressure) - Western Australia


You will be required to comply with this standard if you intend to design or manufacture a precast concrete septic tank. This standard specifies requirements for precast concrete pipes for use as water supply, stormwater, wastewater and sewerage pipes.

When the tank is tested to determine if it complies with the relevant regulations, the testing must be carried out in accordance with this standard, and with AS 1012.1 to 13 (inclusive) 1981, while precast concrete and concrete masonry segments must be tested in accordance with AS 2733-1984 concrete blocks.
