You will need this licence if you intend to operate a business that needs to possess or use firearms or ammunition as part of the service it provides. Businesses that might need this license include:

  • firearms training providers

  • other prescribed business activities.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you will need to:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person to hold this licence
  • provide proof of identification
  • undergo a Firearm Authority Health Assessment
  • successfully complete a Firearm Safety Training course
  • provide supporting documentation relevant to the firearms you intend to keep and use
  • provide proof of your business structure and a a detailed business plan.
