Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a shooting club.

A club's primary purpose is making arrangements for participation of its members in competition shooting or target shooting using firearms.

This licence can only be granted to a body corporate.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must

  • be 18 years or older
  • be a fit and proper person
  • obtain a firearms awareness certificate.

You must also provide a written agreement with a licensed firearms range for use by your club, if you do not own one.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

A licensed firearms club must conduct at least 4 shooting competitions for its members in each 12 month period.
