Description

A firearms club must hold this licence to arrange shooting activities for its members, including competition shooting, target shooting and firearms training using club firearms.

The licence allows the possession, use and manufacture and supply of ammunition for approved club firearms under specified circumstances.

Eligibility requirements

This licence can only be granted to a body corporate. Applicants also must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person to hold this licence
  • provide proof of identification
  • undergo a Firearm Authority Health Assessment
  • successfully complete a Firearm Safety Training course
  • provide supporting documentation relevant to the firearms you intend to keep and use.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

A licensed firearms club must conduct at least 4 shooting competitions for its members in each 12-month period.

You will also need to keep certain records as a condition of your licence.
