You may be required to comply with these guidelines if you are an electricity network operator of, or a contractor working on, a network that is not legally required to have a safety management system.

This guide provides minimum requirements, principles and methods for the organisation and performance of safe work on electrical installations. It sets out guidelines in the form of minimum requirements for a safe working environment for electricians authorised to perform work on electrical equipment and installations.

If your network is legally required to have a safety management system you should ensure your work complies.
