You will need to comply with code if you intend to safeguard machinery and plant at a workplace.

This code provides:

  • general guidance for employers, designers, manufacturers, suppliers and workers on the identification and control of safety and health hazards and risk associating with guarding, or a lack of guarding, of machinery and plant
  • information on key information requirements that relate to guarding machinery and plant
  • practical guidance on guarding of machinery and plant commonly found in workplaces.
