Consumer Goods (Motor Vehicle Recovery Straps) Safety Standard 2017 - Western Australia

You are required to follow this standard if you manufacture or supply motor vehicle recovery straps. This standard protects consumers by ensuring that motor vehicle recovery straps are accompanied by information about instructions on use and warning labels. This standard details the types of information and warning labels that manufacturers or suppliers must ensure are included on this product.

This standard comes with a 2 year transition period ending on 1 December 2019. During this transition period if motor vehicle recovery straps do not comply with this standard, they must comply with Trade Practices (Consumer Product Safety Standard) (Motor Vehicle Recovery Straps) Regulations 2010.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
