You may need to comply with these guidelines if you intend to provide emergency response to incidents involving electricity supply as an emergency service personnel.

These guidelines are intended to:

  • protect the safety of emergency services workers and the general public
  • specify minimum control measures for the protection of emergency services workers and the general public where electrical hazards are present
  • assist Emergency Services Organisations to develop work procedures and related training and awareness programs.
