Description

You may require an environmental impact assessment (EIA) if you are engaged in new development proposals or are aware of proposals that are likely to have a significant effect on the environment.

Development proposals include proposals for mining, industry, and infrastructure such as ports, railways and pipelines. All proposals are considered in order to decide whether or not they require a formal environmental impact assessment.
