Identification Exemption Certificate - Western Australia

Description

You may require this licence if you intend to work with livestock and do not intend to use National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) identification tagging, branding, tattooing or earmarking on your livestock.

This certificate exempts the holder from the requirement to identify the specified stock while the stock is on the property on which it is kept.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this exemption, you must submit an application to an inspector. The inspector must be satisfied that the application is justified, for example:

  • on the grounds that the stock are to be exported
  • for reasons of animal welfare
  • for any other reason the inspector thinks is relevant.
