Infrastructure Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to construct, alter or operate any petroleum infrastructure facilities outside a Production Licence area but within the offshore area of Western Australia. Petroleum infrastructure facilities are facilities that are resting, fixed, or connected to the seabed and used for any of the following activities:

  • remote control of facilities used for the recovery of petroleum in a licence area
  • processing, partial processing or conversion of petroleum recovered in any place
  • storing petroleum before it is transported to another place
  • preparing petroleum for transport.

This licence will authorise you to construct and operate specified infrastructure facilities within a particular area.

Indefinite, but may be terminated if no operations are commenced within 5 years.
