National Code of Practice for the Labelling of Workplace Substances - Western Australia


You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to manufacture, supply, or use any potentially hazardous substance at a workplace. The code provides guidance on meeting the requirements for the labelling of hazardous substances used at work under the National Model Regulations for the Control of Workplace Hazardous Substances

A label is defined as any information on a container which identifies the substance in the container and provides basic information about its safe use and handling. If you import or manufacture a substance you are generally required to make sure it has a label that states whether or not it is hazardous.
