Pilot Chemical Rating Certificate - Western Australia


You will require this certificate if you intend to pilot an aircraft that carries out the spraying of agricultural chemicals such as an insecticide, fungicide or herbicide. Please note that spraying over hazardous areas will require additional written consent from the Agency.

If you have an existing certificate from another State or Territory, you may not need to apply for a new certificate, but only have to notify of your existing certificate.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this certificate you must:

  • hold a current and valid commercial or senior commercial pilot's licence endorsed with the relevant agricultural rating
  • have passed the relevant examinations
  • pay the required fees.

Certificates expire on 30 June each year.
