Provisional Auctioneer's Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to act as an auctioneer under the direct supervision and instruction of a licensed auctioneer. Auctioneers are people who sell or offer for sale or resale properties or other items by way of auction. The holder of a general licence, restricted licence or the firm or corporation with whom you intend to be supervised by, must apply for and obtain a provisional licence on your behalf.

A provisional licence permits you to act as an auctioneer under supervision for a period up to two months as specified on the licence and can only be granted up to three times per year. Classes of business auctioneers may operate in include:

  • land
  • motor vehicles
  • wool
  • livestock
  • second hand items
  • any other specified kind of commodity as determined by the Agency
