You may be required to comply with this Standard if you intend to transport dangerous goods.

A substance or article must be classified according to the tests and criteria specified in this Standard for determining if a substance or article is dangerous goods, and whether it is too dangerous to transport.

These recommendations contain criteria, test methods and procedures to be used for classification of dangerous goods according to the provisions of Parts 2 and 3 of the United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Model Regulations, as well as of chemicals presenting physical hazards.
