Uniform Shipping Laws Code - Western Australia

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you are involved in the design or construction of domestic commercial vessels. A commercial vessel is a vessel which is used in the course of any business or commercial transaction. This includes any Government vessel other than one that belongs to an arm of the Defence Force.

The Uniform Shipping Laws Code (USL Code) provides standards for the design, construction and operation of domestic commercial vessels. The Code was first published in 1979 in response to the need for a common national safety standard for commercial vessels.
