Trading in Public Places Licence or Permit - City of Kwinana - Western Australia

Description

You will need a licence or a permit if you intend to trade goods or services in public places. Public places include Council land, and places that the public have a right of access, such as streets, thoroughfares and parks.

There are different types of public trading activities:

  • street trader - offering goods (for sale or hire) or services in a public place
  • stallholder - displaying goods (for sale or hire) or offering services from a movable or temporary structure, stand or table
  • designated trading area - refer to the mobile food vendors (food trucks) policy
  • itinerant vendor - going from place to place, whether or not they are public places, and offering goods (for sale or hire) or services.

Fees to trade at designated trading area as per mobile food vendors (food truck) policy only:

  • 6 month licence fee - $162.00
  • 12 month licence fee (include markets and events) - $275.00.

Fees to trade at an approved location or as an itinerant food vendor (residential areas):

  • initial application fee - $40.00
  • daily fee - $33.00
  • 1 week fee - $130.00
  • 1 month fee - $277.00
  • 3 month fee - $410.00
  • 6 month fee (includes approved markets, events and designated trading) - $547.00
  • 12 month fee (includes approved markets, events and designated trading) - $1047.00.
