Description

You must comply with this standard if you intend to design and construct low-pressure storage tanks.

This Standard covers the design and construction of large, welded, field-erected low-pressure carbon steel aboveground storage tanks (including flat-bottom tanks) with a single vertical axis of revolution. The rules in this Standard are applicable to tanks that are intended to (a) hold or store liquids with gases or vapours above their surface or (b) hold or store gases or vapours alone.
