Australian New Zealand Standard AS / NZS 2906:2001 Fuel Containers - Portable - Plastic and Metal - Western Australia

Description

You must comply with this standard when filling a container (other than a fuel tank) at a service station with any flammable liquid. You must ensure that the container complies with this standard, or that it is otherwise leak proof, metal and capable of being securely closed.

This standard specifies requirements for portable, petroleum-product fuel containers made of metal or plastic, of nominal capacity up to and including 25L, intended to be refilled, and used for the storage and transport of fuel or as fuel tanks for boats.
