Australian New Zealand Standard AS / NZS 3004 Electrical Installations - Marinas and Recreational Boats - Western Australia

Description

You may be required to comply with this standard if you intend to install electrical equipment in marinas or recreational boats. Any electrical work you do must be in accordance with this standard (where relevant).

This standard sets out requirements for the design, construction and installation of electrical systems associated with marinas (with alternating current systems exceeding 50 volts but below 1 000 volts) and recreational boats up to 50 metres in length (with direct current systems operating below 1 500 volts or alternating current systems operating below 1 000 volts). The standard has two parts:

  • AS / NZS 3004.1:2014 Electrical installations - Marinas and recreational boats - Marinas
  • AS / NZS 3004.2:2014 Electrical installations - Marinas and recreational boats - Recreational boats installations.
