Australian Standard AS 2593-2004 Boilers - Safety Management and Supervision Systems - Western Australia

Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if you or any of your staff intend to use boilers at your work place.

You must ensure that boilers are installed, commissioned, operated, maintained and inspected in accordance with this standard.

This standard specifies the requirements for the operation of boilers, including unattended, limited attendance and fully attended. This includes boilers for fixed land installations, boilers for the generation of steam or other vapour, boilers for the heating of water or other liquids at a pressure above that of the atmosphere, and boilers having any of the following sources of energy input: gas fuel, oil fuel, solid fuels, waste heat fuels, solar energy, electric power.
