Licence to Process Fauna - Western Australia

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to process the carcasses and skin fauna for the purposes of sale or carry on a fauna processing establishment. Fauna means any animal indigenous to Australia, and any animal that periodically migrates to and lives in Australia and includes any animal declared to be fauna by the Agency.

Process means to cut, skin, treat, chill, freeze, can, cure, pack or preserve any part of the fauna. Your licence will specify the species of animal you are authorised to process; the maximum number you may process, and the number of persons from whom you may purchase the animals for processing.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • submit the required forms
  • pay any required fees.

You may not require this licence if:

  • you already hold a licence authorising your activity under different legislation
  • you hold a certificate of exemption from the provisions of the Act.
