Permit to Prospect on Land within an Existing Exploration Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to prospect for minerals on Crown land that is the subject of an exploration licence held by someone else. You must apply for this permit as an individual, or jointly with one or two other individuals. This licence cannot be held by a corporation, association or any other organisation.

Your permit will specify the area of land on which you are authorised to prospect for minerals. The maximum area is 10 connected graticular blocks within an exploration licence (one block is approximately 310 hectares). The maximum sample limit is 20 kilograms.

This permit does not authorise you to use explosives or power tools - only hand tools may be used. You may not prospect within 100 metres of any activities that are being carried out under the authority of an exploration licence.
