Taxi Driver Licence (T-extension) - Western Australia

Description

You must have a T-extension (previously called a T-endorsement) on your driver's licence to carry fare paying passengers and operate as a taxi. You will also require taxi number plates for your vehicle. These must be applied for separately.

Eligibility Requirements

For a T-extension licence, you must:

  • Have held a driver's licence for a period of at least 3 years (or periods adding up to at least 3 years);
  • Be at least 20 years old;
  • Be a person of good character;
  • Be sufficiently fit and healthy;
  • Have successfully completed an approved training course;
  • Submit the required form; and
  • Pay the required fee.
