Bookmaker Clerk Licence (Thoroughbred Racing) - Australian Capital Territory

Service summary

You will require this licence if you intend to act as a clerk to a licensed bookmaker at thoroughbred racing meetings in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT).

A bookmaker clerk is any person who, on a race course or sports ground, assists a bookmaker in the bookmaker's business, such as by recording or accepting money for bets or paying or recording payment of winning bets.

Before completing an application for this licence, you should seek employment with a licensed bookmaker, who will counter sign the application.
