Accessibility

Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, Australian Government agencies are required to ensure information and services are provided in a non-discriminatory and accessible manner.

The Australian Business Licence and Information Service (ABLIS) has been designed to meet the Australian Government standard established in respect of this requirement.

As per the guidelines set by the Web Accessibility National Transition Strategy, all government websites are required to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.0 (WCAG 2.0 Double A compliance). ABLIS aims to conform to the Double A standard of the WCAG 2.0, as developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
