Code of Practice for the Handling of Companion Animals in Pounds and Shelters - Australian Capital Territory

Description

You will need to comply with this code if you intend to operate an animal shelter or pound for the collection of stray or unwanted animals. The purpose of this code is to provide standards to ensure that all animals housed in pounds and shelters receive proper treatment needed to maintain their comfort, security and well being at all times. This code has emphasis on dogs and cats, it does not apply to wildlife shelters.
