If you hold a foreign firearms licence, you may apply for a temporary international firearms licence. A foreign firearms licence is a licence or permit in force under the law of a foreign country that authorises the use or possession of a firearm.
This licence will be issued in the category that the Agency believes best corresponds with your foreign licence and may be subject to conditions.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this licence you must:
- Submit a completed application form;
- Be 18 years of age;
- Hold a foreign firearms licence;
- Provide evidence of your current passport and any other documents that may be required;
- Have a genuine reason for possessing or using a firearm;
- Be judged to be a fit and proper person by the Agency; and
- Pay the prescribed fee.
