You will require this declaration if you are a cash dealers or authorised deposit-taking institutions (ADIs) intending to use certain designated identification checks to satisfy the identification verification requirements.
Cash dealers are required to comply with identification requirements in order to verify the identity of persons intending to open a new account or become a signatory to an existing account.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.
To be eligible for this declaration you must provide a written undertaking where you undertake to:
- Carry out the designated verification procedures and to take all reasonable steps to complete the procedures promptly in each case; and
- Report to the Agency in relation to information obtained as a result of carrying out the above-mentioned procedures; and
- Provide the Agency with written reports in respect of certain periods regarding your complaince with the legislation.
Your application, and the undertaking accompanying it, must be signed by yourself personally or, if you are a body corporate, your principal executive officer.
