Approved Pathology Practitioner - AG - Australian Business Licence and Information Service

Description

You will require this approval if you are a pathologist and you intend to claim Medicare benefits for pathology services you provide.

You must provide your services as a pathologist in an accredited pathology laboratory to be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

To be eligible for this approval you must:

have current medical practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
have a Medicare Provider Number at the Accredited Pathology Laboratory location/s where you intend to provide services
meet the requirements in the Approved Pathology Practitioner Undertaking which is part of the application form.
