Part 142 Flight Training Approval - Australian Government

Service summary

You will require this approval if you operate, or intend to operate, an organisation that provides flight training.

The types of flight training that are covered by this approval are:

  • Multi-crew
  • Contracted recurrent training and checking
  • Integrated training courses for the issue of a private pilot or a commercial pilot licence

        and

  • Training that is undertaken in a flight simulation training device.

You must hold a current Air Operators Certificate if you intend to provide training, contracted recurrent training and checking activities conducted in an aircraft.

Please note that if you held a current authorisation from the Agency to provide flight training prior to 1 September 2014 then you will automatically be issued with this approval.
