Service summary

From June 2016, you will require this permission if you are the person in charge or the operator of a vessel that intends to be moored at a port in Australian territory that is not the designated point of entry for the vessel. Australian Territory means:

  • Australia, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands and any external Territory to which these areas extend;
  • The airspace over these areas; and
  • The coastal sea of Australia, of Christmas Island, of Cocos (Keeling) Islands and of any other external Territory to which these areas extend.
