Pistol Permit (Medical Disability) - New South Wales

Description

You can apply for this permit if you intend to possess and / or use a pistol for the purpose of undertaking hunting, fishing, farming or grazing activities (in relation to your occupation). This permit will only be issued if you can provide evidence from a medical practitioner that you have a medical condition or disability that prevents you from using a rifle or shotgun.

Eligibility requirements

If you have never held a firearms licence or permit in NSW, or you do not currently hold an equivalent issued firearms licence or permit interstate, you are required to complete a firearms safety training course and provide evidence of this with your application.

Duration

The permit will be issued for a maximum term of five years.
