Application for a Registered Training Organisation to Deliver Asbestos Training - New South Wales

Service summary

You will require this approval if you are a Registered Training Organisation (RTOs) and you intend to deliver asbestos removal and asbestos assessor training and assessment (ART) in NSW.

Obtaining this accreditation will enable your RTO to conduct asbestos removal and asbestos assessor training in order to provide ART Cards, which are compulsory for people intending to undertake asbestos removal or become an asbestos assessor.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • be a registered training organisation
  • apply to the relevant Agency to have the specified ART licence course unit of competency (UOC) added to your scope of registration in NSW as stand-alone units, or as a core or elective unit within a qualification
  • enter into an agreement with Agency.
