Approval to Sell Goods or Services from a Temporary Store - Georges River Council - New South Wales

Description

You may need approval to sell any goods from a stall or vehicle in a public place. Examples of the sort of activities that require approval include:

  • selling goods from a vehicle or stand
  • temporary food stalls
  • mobile food vendors.

Please be aware that this approval is generally sought for temporary events such as festivals and shows. In some cases, temporary events may also require development consent.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval you must provide details such as the type of items or services to be offered, the type of structure you will be operating from and the proposed location. If a food vehicle, stall, cart or the like you will need to comply with the National Code for Food Vending Vehicles or the National Code for Temporary Food Premises. The minimum public liability insurance indemnity for this approval is $10,000,000.

 

Where the land is within an area under the control of the NSW Sate Government or an Authority of the State Government the application will only be accepted if the NSW Authority gives its consent to the making of this application.
