Service summary

You will require this licence if you operate as a corporation or partnership that intends to contract, sub-contract and / or advertise to carry out residential building or trade work. This licence only applies to work where the reasonable market value of labour and materials for the total job is over $5,000.

Work covered by this licence includes:

    • erecting pre-fabricated metal-framed buildings
    • general building work and renovation
    • structural landscaping
    • swimming pool construction.

    Eligibility requirements

    To be eligible for this licence, your company or partnership must:

    • employ a person that holds a Qualified Supervisor Certificate or an Endorsed Contractor Licence (Q)
    • be registered with ASIC.

    All relevant persons to the application (director of company or member of partnership) must:

    • be considered a fit and proper person for the purposes of the licence;
    • not be disqualified from holding an authority under the relevant legislation;
    • have the necessary qualifications and practical experience as specified by the Authority,
    • submit the required forms
    • pay any required fees.
